The Dream Team at Rhoda Floral Design & I Heart Flowers

Rhoda Floral Design Owner

Jo (JoJo) aka The Boss

Jo grew up helping her grandma, Rhoda in her garden, who taught her more than just gardening tips. She inspired Jo to be hard working, independent, community & family focused, dedicated and passionate all while staying positive and to keep on smiling.

After learning floristry in the UK, Jo followed her other passion for travel and went backpacking through Asia. Her heart finally lead her to Australia, where she laid down roots in Melbourne. Jo continued to grow her passion and skill in the floristry industry across both large and small retail and event florists throughout Melbourne, until an opportunity came up that she didn’t want to miss out on - the opportunity to take over an old florist and turn it into the newest and most loved florist in the Dandenong Ranges and Knox area - Camelot Florist has been given a new life as Rhoda Floral Design with I Heart Flowers running as their wedding & events specialist department.

Jo is a single Mum to two wonderful, neurosparkly kids, Felix and Maggie whom are the centre of Jo’s World and her motivation to build a blooming business in Tecoma, Belgrave and Upwey. You may see Felix and Maggie hanging out at the shop from time to time, maybe even helping out on the odd occasion.

Molly aka Modest Molly

Molly is our youngest team member. She’s a Gen Z by birth but a Millennial at heart. She is also our most locally grown florist.

Molly has been in the industry for 4 years and has blossomed into a confident and creative florist after being an integral part of our team since the end of 2023. We are very excited to see her talent grow further throughout the years.

Fun facts about Molly:

Favourite flower: Rose
Favourite colour: Pink
Favourite animal: Cats
Favourite smell: Stock flower
Favourite sound: The crunch of Irish Bells when we cut them

When Molly is not at the shop you can find her sleeping with her cat, Milo or hanging out with her friends. You may even meet her best friend, Lu in the shop from time to time.

Sam aka Sunshine & Sparkles

Sam joined the Rhoda Floral Design & I Heart Flowers team in September 2024 after seeking experience within the floristry industry to gain some insight into the floristry career pathways .

Sam has extensive experience in visual merchandising, social media and wedding & event coordination and is now studying floristry at Box Hill Tafe while developing her natural skills with us here in Tecoma. Sam also helps keep us on schedule for event days and provides us with our beautiful in-action photos as well as a lot of our social media content.

So why is Sam known as Sunshine & Sparkles? You only need to walk into the shop to find out. When Sam is in the shop, the sun shines. She is bright and bubbly and her soul literally sparkles. Sam very quickly became a very important part of our dynamic team turning from work experience to long term crew. We are very excited that Sam is now part of our Rhoda family.
